Cadbury (Hilton/Wellington II) has delivered a beautiful filly by Fabregas! This lovely girl arrived a month early, but is very strong and healthy! Cadbury seems to be making a habit of foaling early but well developed foals! She has already shown great uphill tendencies, and a sweet disposition. This filly is sure to be a dressage star, she is leggy, short backed, and an animated uphill mover. Expected height at maturity is 16.2h. She has been named "Forastero" which is a cacao tree of a widely grown variety that provides the bulk of the world's cocoa beans. This nicely incorporates both her parents into her name.
This pretty filly is by the spectacular Hanoverian dressage stallion Fabregas (Florencio/De Niro) who won his 70 day performance test in 2009 with an impressive result of 134.27 points. This young stallion continues to impress and recently made his PSG/I1 debute and has won every class he's entered. From his first foal crop Fabregas produced Champion and Reserve Champion in a 70 entrant foal inspection/show in Germany. His dam sire De Niro was awarded "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year" in 2008. Judge's comments on Fabregas' foals were that they are "very correct, elastic with great walks". Fabregas' first licensed son Feriado recently won the South German Championship for 4 year old stallions (July 2015). This filly's dam Cadbury is a Hanoverian/Trakehner mare, with lovely movement and type. She is by Hilton GS out of a Wellington II mare. Cadbury is a big bodied mare with fantastic gaits, a lovely topline and sweet temperament. Cadbury scored top scores at her inspection including an 8 for her walk, and earned her Premium Status with the Canadian Warmblood Association, with many compliments about her conformation and type.
Forastero is sold! We are very excited that she will be promoted as a dressage horse and she will be staying with us as she grows and develops, we look forward to the future of these two ladies together!
